Join our vintage Laboratory team in Tanunda, Barossa Valley for the 2027 grape harvest!
Each year, we welcome enthusiastic people from across Australia and around the world to be part of this exciting seasonal experience in one of Australia’s most iconic wine regions.
We’re seeking Vintage Laboratory Assistants to support our winemaking team with routine sampling and analysis throughout the vintage period. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a science background or an interest in wine production.
As a Vintage Laboratory Assistant, you’ll be involved in:
- Routine sampling and analysis of tanks
- Testing grape samples
- Monitoring wine and ferments for parameters including Baume, Temperature, pH, TA (Titratable Acidity), Alcohol, SO2, Potential Alcohol, Turbidity and Heat and Cold Stability.
No experience? No worries!
We value a great attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic. These positions do require excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well with others in a small team environment.
What you’ll need:
- Physically fit and ready to roll up your sleeves
- Able to work shifts and weekends
- Your own reliable transport
- Available for the full vintage period (End of January to April 2027)
- At least 18 years old by 31 January 2027
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment
- Previous winery experience

- All successful applicants will complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
- Interviews will be held in Tanunda, SA in October 2026. If you're not local, we’ll arrange a video interview
