The Casella family arrived in Australia from Sicily in 1957, bringing with them not only generations of family wine making, but the know-how to produce wines that are more than simply a drink with dinner.

Casella Family Brands is a multi-beverage company and Australia’s largest family-owned winery, based in Yenda, NSW. Generations of the Casella family have been involved with the business since its inception in 1969. Duties will include:

• Lawn mowing & Turf maintenance
• Irrigation install & maintenance, including automation
• General gardening, including Weed control, Pruning, Mulching, Planting
• Cellar Door morning duties & assistance 
• Application of fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides within WH&S regulatory requirements
• Special event set-up/pack-down/clean-up
• Tractor work including front end loader work, rotary slashing, gravel driveway maintenance, boom spraying, fertiliser spreading
• Chainsaw/Pole-saw work
• General site cleanliness and maintenance duties

Skills and Experience required:

• Strong work ethic
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work Independently and within a Team
• Chemical certification or be willing to undertake the required training
• Effective communication skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Good working knowledge of most types of gardening equipment including brush cutters, lawn mowers, edgers and blowers as well as plant and pest identification and eradication

Desirable:

• A certificate in Horticulture
• Forklift licence
• Chainsaw certificate
• Working at Heights licence
• Elevated Work Platform licence
• Telehandler certificate

Successful applicants must have their own transport, and complete a pre-employment medical including a physical test and a drug & alcohol screen.
