We are looking to fill a fulltime Winemaker position at our Yenda Winery. The ideal addition to our winemaking team will be a passionate and driven individual with large winery experience.

Responsibilities will include:

• Vinification and preparation of high-quality wines
• Working within a team environment
• Develop new wine styles in line with customers’ expectations
• Public Relations/Wine Tastings
• Trial work to improve quality and cost reduction
• Monitor safety standards and ensure cellar operations are conducted in accordance with safety requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary or equivalent degree in Winemaking or Oenology
• Demonstrated large winery experience
• A team player with effective leadership and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently, managing your own workload and priorities
• Show evidence of excellent supervision, organising and planning skills including use of computer systems
• Demonstrate good presentation and effective communication skills
• A practical understanding of running a large winery on a profitable basis

This is a long-term career opportunity with ongoing mentorship and supportive management. An attractive remuneration package, with the opportunity for relocation, will be offered to the successful applicant, commensurate with experience and suitability.
