The Australian Beer Co is the trusted name behind many of Australia’s much-loved beer and cider brands, proudly brewed in regional  Australia at our state-of-the-art brewing facility in Yenda NSW.

Our brands include Yenda Beer, Pressmans, & Ampersand Projects, Son of a Nun and Poets Beer. We also contract brew and pack for both international and national brewing companies.

The success of these brands has created opportunities within the packaging team for a Packaging Shift Supervisor in order to meet safety, quality, customer service and productivity targets to support the continued development of our brands at our state-of-the-art brewery.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Develop and Ensure adherence to safe work practices, site policies and procedures
• Ensure quality specifications are met
• Ensure setup off machines and monitoring of the production process
• Assists in the development of staff in their team and building team morale
• Operation of equipment in accordance with SOP’s.
• Ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner actively
• Monitor material availability for production runs
• Ensure all paperwork is completed in accordance with requirements.
• Assist in problem solving to ensure continuous improvement within packaging
• Must have high level of energy and passion to motivate staff to fulfill production requirements

Qualifications/Skills:
• A passion for safety and wellbeing in the workplace
• A clear understanding of continuous improvement principles or experience in a lean manufacturing environment
• The ability to think proactively and independently
• Experience working on a high speed packaging line.
• Good organisational and planning ability.
• Understanding of 5S principles.
• Effective communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Technical aptitude will be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Tertiary qualification in an engineering or manufacturing area is beneficial but not essential

Successful applicants must have their own transport and be able to work weekly rotating shifts.

A pre-employment medical including a physical test and a drug & alcohol screen must be completed.
